Confident Me in Schools

Dove's Self-Esteem Project gives schools and parents an incredibly versatile set of resources that include lesson plans, presentations, activity sheets and parent guides.

Created by experts, the resources are 100% free and help young people to build confidence in themselves and others.

At Dove, we believe that no young person should be held back from reaching their full potential - but in the UK, 9 out of every 10 girls with low body esteem put their health at risk by not seeing a doctor or by skipping meals.

Teacher Resources

Dove Confident Me Resources 2021.png

Our free downloadable resources have been created to allow teachers and schools to run body confidence lessons both in the classroom and remotely.

Resources include:

  • Confident Me - 5 Sessions

  • Confident Me - Single Session (PSHE association accredited)

  • Confident Me - Mini Sessions for home learning

The Confident Me tools are proven to make a positive and long-lasting impact on improving body confidence. The lessons explore how areas such as society, friends and family, social media and the broader media can promote an unrealistic 'ideal' body and the strategies that young people can implement to build self-confidence in themselves and others.

These tools are developed together by teachers and world-leading experts in body image. In addition, the Uniquely Me parent resource provides a useful tool for parents and carers to continue building body confidence in the home.

My hair, my crown - Session guide

The My hair, my crown session guide is part of the Dove Self-Esteem Project and helps educators, parents and mentors boost hair confidence in kids with coils, curls, waves & protective styles. It aims to build allyship to Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural hair. The session can be delivered flexibly across two hours and links to PSHE covering diversity, stereotypes, prejudice, media literacy and self-concept.
